There is also a once-through cooling water system at the station which means that there are no evaporation losses or concentration effect, thus reducing environmental impact on the local river.

Andrews Dehumidification responded quickly when a major power station had an urgent requirement for dehumidification and ventilation equipment during an unplanned outage. The equipment was despatched over a 48 hour period as per the clients requirements and included a combination of 16 x KT1600 industrial desiccant dryers and 21 x ventilation fans were used throughout the plant to maintain humidity levels in critical areas while the power station was not on line.

We were called when relative humidity levels within the 20,000 square metre warehouse had reached critical levels endangering the moisture sensitive tea and coffee. Andrews Sykes quickly responded with high volume KT6000 Desiccant Dehumidifier drying units, generators and ducting. Relative humidity levels were soon brought back under acceptable levels and valuable tea and coffee stocks were saved.
