The service, designed to ensure an effective and professional care to its customers 24/7, guarantees customers will receive a response at any time. UK Operations Director, David Himsworth, states this was a necessary procedure to undertake as “many of our customers now operate 24/7. We needed to provide them with a service that satisfied their needs with the least amount of disruption”. Calls are logged and given a unique number before being passed to the on-call team. This ensures a rapid response to all customers whilst ensuring emergency calls are dealt with immediately.
The triumph of this service is noted by David Himsworth, “during the last twelve months we’ve handled nearly every type of emergency you can imagine from; burst water mains to overheating data centres and fast food outlets to hospitals” reflecting the efficiency, success and necessity of this service.

Process Heating On Demand

Monday, July 13th, 2009

After failure of the main steam system at a Pharmaceutical company Andrews Specialist Hire Division was contacted to design, install and supply a packaged boiler system to overcome the loss of production. Andrews supplied a LPHW (Low Pressure Hot Water) system to supply hot water at 95 Deg C by use of the twin heat exchanges within the temporary boiler (exclusive to Andrews Sykes). The system was designed so that localised hot water could be used whilst the main boiler plant was being repaired, this negated the requirement of large expensive temporary steam units.
