Andrews Chiller and Boiler Hire division have recently delivered another expert solution to a client with a bespoke need for a boiler, chiller and a multi operational heat exchanger rig. The equipment was required to stress test two manifolds at varying temperatures from 5 degrees centigrade to 70 degrees centigrade over a 400 cycle test period. Andrews Specialist Hire division provided a solution that comprised of an Andrews 30kW Fluid Chiller, an Andrews 22kW Electric Boiler and an electronically controlled heat exchanger rig which allows the equipment to switch between hot and cold water efficiently and within operating parameters.

After long deliberation and a lengthy tender process Andrews Sykes Specialist Hire Division won a 5 Year contract to supply 3 Mega Watt of cooling to a major hospital in the UK. The units supplied were a mix of Screw and Reciprocating compressors to give maximum power saving whilst minimising footprint.” The tender went out to three companies to supply the temporary cooling, Andrews originality in design, equipment specification and power saving made it an easy choice to award them the contract. After a major failure of the existing air conditioning in the UK’s largest call centre, Andrews Sykes Specialist Hire Division supplied, installed and commissioned a complete climate control package within 6 hours of the initial call. “I contacted Andrews Sykes at 2.00am in the morning when our high temperature alarm system warned us of the rise in temperatures and relative humidity in one of our data rooms, we soon discovered that the existing system had lost its gas and could not be repaired. The Andrews Sykes on call technician discussed various options over the phone and we agreed on a Chiller, Air Handling and Dehumidification package to maintain required temperature and moisture levels.
