Andrews Heat for Hire rekindle involvement with British motorsport

For almost two decades, distinctive Andrews branding adorned the rally cars of former British Rally Championship winner Russell Brooks. The seventeen-year sponsorship began in 1974 and saw the company benefit from extensive exposure up until 1991.

Since then, we have pursued and benefitted from a number of different partnerships – all of which have contributed to boosting our profile both domestically and overseas.

It’s perhaps fitting, then, that after a 25-year absence from motorsport, we are excited to announce our return by sponsoring up-and-coming rally driver Chris Ingram.

On Thursday 7th April, Chris will compete in the first round of the European Rally Championships – the Circuit of Ireland rally.

Widely billed as the biggest sporting event in Northern Ireland, this particular race has historical significance for the company as it was won three times by Russell Brookes while driving an Andrews-emblazoned car!

This year’s event is expected to be watched by more than 100,000 spectators while also being broadcast to an even bigger audience via BT Sport, Channel 4 and Eurosport.

It is therefore with great pleasure that we team up with Chris to become his title partner – a deal that will see our recognised Heat for Hire branding feature on both his helmet and the car’s front bumper.

The arrangement provides us with an excellent opportunity to financially support one of the country’s most heralded driving prospects whilst reconnecting with a sport that we have been synonymously linked with over the years.

Naturally, we all wish Chris the very best of luck across the three days and hope he goes on to match the fantastic achievements of Russell Brooks during a lengthy career behind the wheel!
