Andrews Dehumidification launch latest edition of the KT2000 desiccant dryer

Andrews Dehumidification is excited to announce the arrival of the industry’s latest desiccant dehumidifiers from Sweden – the birthplace of the desiccant dehumidifier. Dehumidification has come a long way in a relatively short period of time. We have the Swedes to thank for taking dehumidification from its humble beginnings as a bag of salt to what it is today; an industry supplying equipment that can dehumidify down to a dew point temperature as low as -30°C.

By acquiring new units, we have nearly doubled our hire fleet of KT2000 desiccant dehumidifiers. Andrews have worked alongside a specialist manufacturer to produce units which incorporate newly-available technologies designed to improve performance whilst reducing energy consumption.

Fifty years ago, John Andrews started hiring heaters and dehumidifiers to British Industry. Today, Andrews Sykes are the nation’s leading specialist supplier of HVAC equipment and solutions. From these pioneering beginnings with a single model refrigerant dehumidifier, the company now supplies businesses and individuals with drying solutions across Europe and beyond. Our comprehensive hire fleet of both refrigerant and desiccant dehumidifiers enable us to provide solutions to a vast array of applications, with units featuring extraction capacities that exceed 1,000 litres per day.

The new improved KT2000 was unveiled at our Heathrow location last month and is now available for hire with immediate effect. The new unit includes a number of improvements, an electronically-controlled heater used for purging the desiccant wheel is perhaps the most noteworthy enhancement and means the product will never pull more electricity than is absolutely necessary – all whilst retaining optimum performance levels. Capable of extracting up to 300 litres of liquid per day, the upgraded models are also stackable and can be maneuvered into position via crane, forklift or an integrated wheel arrangement
