fixed air conditioning vets

When a chain of veterinary practices in the Thames Valley began a refurbishment programmed for individual practices, it recognised that comfort cooling was an essential business requirement given the organisation’s emphasis on customer service.

In a recent project at a practice reception area in Berkshire, a compact inverter-controlled spilt-system was installed quickly and cleanly. This slim line system, which offers heating as well as cooling, provides exceptionally quiet operations and has been welcomed by staff and customers alike.

A small but fast-growing advertising and media company needed to install reliable air conditioning in its new London facilities. A split system based on Toshiba Digital Inverter technology, designed for 5 to 14kw air conditioning applications, was the solution.
This air conditioning system, which features two outdoor units supplying air to two interior cassettes, provides enhanced performance levels and energy efficient running together with ease of access for installation and maintenance.

Using a key device the air conditioning unit's final position could be adjusted during installation after a suspended ceiling was put in place, and without disturbing or risking marking of any of the tiles. This added greatly to the flexibility of installation during the construction process. The customer has since commented on the extreme quietness of the air conditioning system: even with the cover off and the fan operating at full speed it cannot be detected by anyone standing below.

fixed air conditioning coolers office buildings

When a leading property company in Kent built its new compact three-storey office, air conditioning was seen as an essential component. The owners decided this was a great opportunity to install energy-efficient heat pump based heating and cooling, so enabling staff and clients to stay comfortable all-year round. The air conditioning installation also had to be suitable for the high solar gain the building experiences each day.

Just three inverter-controlled split-type air conditioning systems were installed, with six high-wall indoor units, for the entire 1,550ft2 office space. The outdoor air conditioning units were sited neatly on the exterior wall in an adjacent alley, while all interior piping and wiring was fitted quickly and neatly. The net result is a compact, highly efficient and exceptionally quiet air conditioning system that perfectly complements this new build environment.

The range

Our range includes split-type heat pump units, special compact and slimline models, ducted units and larger scale Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems. Simply choose the system that’s right for you.

Indoor units can be ceiling or wall-mounted in convenient locations and are supplied with easy-to-use remotes or keypad controls. Many units also switch to heat instantly, providing you with year-round temperature control.

We also provide complementary systems including air-to-air heat exchange systems, ventilation, cooling and extraction fans, and air handling units. And our range extends to heavy-duty chillers with temperatures down to –10°C for emergency backup and high volume air conditioning.

Our AC Systems
Low noise

The fixed systems we provide work quietly in the background: the only impact you should feel is a more comfortable environment.

For example, by eliminating the compressor ON/OFF cycle in many of our units, they are guaranteed to deliver ultra-quiet operation with greatly reduced vibration. A reduced compressor speed, with low gas flow most of the time, helps further, while modulated fan speeds mean low airflow noise.

Regular servicing and performance tuning ensure noise levels remain as low as the day your equipment was installed.

Visual impact

Our fixed systems are designed to be as attractive and unobtrusive as they are powerful and reliable. In fact, even if the interior units are visible, they blend in so well with the built environment that, in most cases, your staff, customers and visitors won’t be aware of them. Most provide easy access for non-disruptive after sales care and servicing.

At the same time, exterior equipment and parts – as well as all pipe work and ducting – can be carefully concealed or tucked away in convenient locations. You want to feel the effects, not see the inner workings.

To achieve this, we have our own highly experienced installation specialists. But we’re also happy to work alongside architects, designers, builders, interior designers, carpenters and shop fitters to deliver the best results, whether it’s a retrofit or new build project.

Ease of use

Our fixed systems put you in control, whatever the desired temperature, external conditions and solar gain your premises experience.

Throughout the range you have a choice of controls. These include user-friendly wireless remote control handsets, some with extra large displays, together with wired wall-mounted keypads and panels. Features and options include a choice of fan speeds, preset memory, timer and ‘eco’ control.

More advanced systems can feature interactive control software and are designed to interface directly with Building Management Systems, which means tailored control from a single central location.

Reliability

All the systems we provide are as robust and dependable as they are powerful.

We only recommend and install the best equipment, from suppliers like Toshiba and Daikin, that has been manufactured and tested to the highest quality standards. Reliability is built-in, which means cooling and heating power as and when you need it.

At the same time, warranty cover, scheduled health checks and preventative maintenance ensure high levels of reliability throughout the equipment life span. You also have the additional peace of mind, if you choose, that’s provided by expert engineers on call 24-hours together with emergency equipment backup.

Energy efficiency

The equipment we supply is designed to be as energy efficient as possible, minimizing power consumption and ultimately leading to less CO2 released into the atmosphere. As you’d expect, our people are consistently up-to-date with the latest industry thinking, legislation and environmental targets.

This knowledge is applied to all areas: from product manufacture to solutions design, specification, installation and support. We’re also committed to helping our customers understand and adhere to all appropriate regulations, protocols and directives.

In fact, our approach and the systems we provide can help you to benefit from tax concessions under the UK government’s Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme for the use of energy-efficient products.
