Dairy Production

Based in Leicestershire, this large dairy company is well known for producing high quality stilton and various speciality cheeses. For a number of years, Andrews has provided various FC90 and FC45 fast chill units for use in its production area. As part of a multi-stage production process, it’s essential the cheese is kept in a cool room for days before being removed to a maturing room. Additional cooling power is often required in the three-month run up to Christmas to meet the seasonal increase in demand for stilton.
 

Arable Production & Storage

For six years, Andrews has provided a major arable farming company based in Lincolnshire with high performance FC90 fast chill cooling equipment to maintain temperatures for seed potato storage - high quality seed potatoes are the cornerstone of growing successful ware crops. It is essential that seed potatoes are protected, ideally in a temperature-controlled environment: cool storage prevents excessive sprouting, helps avoid viral and bacterial agents as well as fungal disease, and helps ensure the required size and uniformity in the crop.

Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers

Every year the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers need to keep their animals cool as well as many hundreds of people who visit their annual show. To ensure this, Andrews Sykes provided a Chiller and 12 air handlers along with ten ASF 50’s and one 500RVA Gen sets. It is essential for the farmers that the cattle remain cool and comfortable as they are used to sell at auctions and for various competitions. The RABDF were highly satisfied with Andrews Sykes’ service and require us for next year’s show.
